Body1

Founded in February of 1999, Body1 is the hub of the KnowCo network. It is a broad general health site, covering topics ranging from therapies for brain cancer, to options for children born with genetic diseases, to nutrients for stimulating mental alertness. Key Body1 features include an Infectious Disease Center, First Aid Center, and an intelligent symptom checker developed by Harvard Medical School.

Our newest site, Dental1.org is the interactive community where patients can learn and talk about dental health and dental immplants. This site provides information about cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, fillings, braces, tooth whitening, and proper oral health. You can learn about dental procedures, discuss your experiences in dental forums and find a local dentist in your area.

Fibroids1

Fibroids1 is a knowledge community, or "KnowCo", site for women suffering from uterine fibroids. It was launched in December 2003. It provides a comprehensive resource for the millions of women suffering from uterine fibroids, non-cancerous tumors that can cause excessive bleeding and pain. It includes tools to locate trained physicians (physician finder), moderated online physician discussions and a series of profiles on key interventional radiologists and their gynecological partners.

Knee1

Launched in 1999, Knee1 is devoted to providing patients and caregivers with comprehensive knee-health information. A broad range of knee technologies are featured on the site including breakthroughs in cartilage and ACL repair. Key features of Knee1 include Live Surgical Webcasts, Symptom Checker, Ask an Expert, and a Suite on Preparing for Surgery. Knee1 has been translated into several languages besides English, including German, French, and Chinese.

Reflux1

Launched in May 2003, Reflux1 provides an online community offering comprehensive reflux information. This information is delivered through news features, technology reports, and searchable databases of the most prevalent reflux conditions and treatment options. Reflux1 includes interactive tools where patients can share stories of their battles with reflux disease and also locate a gastroenterologist.

Heart1

Heart1, launched in May 2002, offers a wide range of cardiac information in the form of news features, technology reports, and a comprehensive research center that includes information on cardiac conditions, diagnostics and treatments. Particularly valuable on Heart1 is a Heart Attack Center, a resource center focused on therapy awareness, treatment options and other resources for heart attack survivors.

Shoulder1

Shoulder1 was launched in November of 2000 to provide visitors with comprehensive shoulder-health information. Physicians achieving breakthroughs in shoulder care, as well as innovative new shoulder treatments, can be found on the site. Key features include Locate a Doctor, Forums, Real Life Recovery, and Shoulder Hero.

Uterus1

Launched in early 2004,Uterus1 provides an online community offering comprehensice information on on uterine health and technologies such as the HTA procedure. Key features include Find a Physician, Forums and, the Heavy Periods Center.

Veins1

Veins1 went online in July 2000 and is dedicated to vascular health. The site provides viewers with information ranging from varicose veins to peripheral vascular disease (PVD). The key features of Veins1 include Anatomy, Your Story, Conditions, Procedures, Resource Center, and Professional Section.

Wounds1

Launched in January 2001, Wounds1 is the leading Internet source for information on wounds including burns, scars, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers. Information about an extensive range of wound products and solutions is offered on the site. The key features of Wounds1 include the Locate a Burn Center, Skin Center, and Nutrition Center.

Back1

Launched in December 2002, Back1 is a comprehensive source for information on prevalent back conditions, including degenerative disk disease, scoliosis, and arthritic conditions. Information about an extensive range of back treatments is also offered on the site. The key features of Back1 include the Back1 Forums and Video Library.
