After spending two years in financial business, Dr. Kenneth Alleyne decided to pursue his life-long interest in medicine on a professional level. He trained at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a research fellowship at Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. His residency training was undertaken at the Howard University Hospital. Dr. Alleyne recently completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Yale's School of Medicine and is currently in private practice in New York City. Dr. Ludden is Director of the Tufts Medical School Joint M.D./MBA Program and Associate Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School (Department of ambulatory care and prevention). As a recognized leader in health care, he has contributed significantly to the industry's work on quality improvement. In his role as the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (Boston, MA) he had responsibility for health policy and federal legislative affairs. He was instrumental in the development of "Putting Patients First" for the Board of the American Association of Health Plans.
As Corporate Medical Director of Harvard Pilgrim he formed the quality improvement department, the system of clinical quality management, and began the development of clinical and disease management programs. As a key member of the Group Health Association of America (now AAHP), he helped launch the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

Dr. Alweis is an internist at Harvard's Mount Auburn Hospital and a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University. Dr. Steven Elias is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon who is the Director of the Center for Vein Disease at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Elias is also Assistant Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
His undergraduate training was at John Hopkins University. He then attended the University of Buffalo Medical School and continued his surgical residency training in Buffalo at the University of Buffalo—Millard Fillmore Hospital. He conducted his advanced specialty fellowship training in vascular surgery at the Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
The majority of Dr. Elias’s clinical practice consists of the management of all aspects of vein disease. Techniques used to manage vein disease includes the use of laser and sclerotherapy (injections) for small spider veins to minimally invasive surgical techniques such as the TriVex procedure for the removal of varicose veins, the VNUS (closure) procedure, EVLT (endovenous laser therapy) for saphenous vein incompetence, and SEPS (Subfascial Endiscopic Perferator Surgery) for managing patients with non-healing wounds due to vein disease. He has published the results of these procedures and is on the faculty of courses teaching these minimally invasive techniques to other surgeons. He travels throughout the United States instructing as well as assisting other surgeons as they begin to perform these operations.
