BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, MEDIA

The Manager's primary function is to build relationships in order to generate revenues. To successfully generate the level of business required, the Manager needs a high level of consultative sales sophistication and a track record of closing sales from Medical Device and Pharma clients in the recent past. The position may grow to a leadership role if multiple 6-figure deals are closed and require a team to support additional revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

Responsible for a revenue targets and all sales activities, including developing new business, managing and maintaining new and existing accounts assigned within the defined area

  • Responsible for developing advertising agency accounts
  • Responsible for supporting marketing initiatives and developing media buying plans utilizing the Body1 Network
  • Responsible for presentation of all appropriate client reports regarding program metrics and the development of appropriate ROI models for each engagement
  • Drive additional sales with clients who have previously purchased Company's products and services
  • Fully elucidate the client's organizational chart
  • Identify key budgetary milestones
  • Develop and execute projects efficientlly

Skills & Requirements

  • 7-10 years of successful experience selling media placements to Madison Ave. and proven executive level relationships in large ad agencies
  • Communication - superior skills are essential to the position across the following groups:
    • Clients: Assess needs, establish trust, educate, set expectations, and keep in touch with busy clients
    • Projects & Technology: Need to be flexible and insistent as a client advocate with Project Manager, and stay up to date on all aspects of client projects as well as new product/feature development
    • Management: Work well with entire team to develop and close business
  • Energetic, dynamic personality
  • Supportive with clients in need of 'consultative' sales process
  • Superior communication skills
  • Detail-oriented - experience managing complex projects needing regular monitoring
  • Top performer in prior sales/marketing/consulting positions

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required - MBA preferred
  • Must have successfully met/exceeded prior sales/business development targets

Compensation

Competitive salary, consisting of base, bonuses and benefits.

  • Expected first year compensation $150K+ Plan (50% base/50% bonus)
