CONTENT MANAGER/EDITOR, PART-TIME

We currently seek a part-time consulting Content Manager/Editor with a background in on-line journalism, senior editorial experience, and a passion for healthcare to join our growing team.

 Responsibilities

• Writing and editing health content for the web
• Managing freelance writing staff of 10 writers
• Managing medical advisors in assigned areas
• Managing content budget in assigned areas
• Recruiting new writers, medical advisors and site leaders in assigned areas
• Quality Control testing of new content tools
• Support for value-added content partnerships

 Skills & Requirements

• Journalism, writing or editorial background and/or education, medical health background/interest
• Strong understanding, experience or education in consumer health topics
• Preferred: Master's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar preferred with documented experience in healthcare either educational or job-related
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience launching and maintaining new publications
• Multimedia experience
• Ability to learn quickly and make an immediate impact
• Online technology experience and computer content editing skills
• Online social network experience a plus
• Ability to evolve and juggle multiple projects
• Drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment, rapidly-evolving environment while working closely with other Body1 team members
• Leadership skills, managerial skills, and the ability to take initiative
• Desire to learn and proceed to the next level
