MANAGER OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

We seek an individual who will manage and generate revenues. To be successful the Manager needs a high level of consultative sales sophistication and a track record of closing sales, in the $10K - $500K range, ideally from Medical Device to Pharma Clients. This position is initially strictly commission, but may grow to a leadership role if multiple 6-figure deals are closed and require a team to support additional revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all revenue targets and sales activities, including developing new business, managing and maintaining new and existing accounts assigned within the defined area.

  • Responsible for account development plan
  • Responsible for supporting marketing initiatives in the assigned area
  • Responsible for presentation of all appropriate client reports regarding program metrics and the development of appropriate ROI models for each engagement
  • Drive additional sales with clients who have previously purchased company's products and services
  • Fully elucidate the client's organizational chart with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, e-Business, and IT groups clearly delinetead
  • Identify key client decision makers regarding budgetary concerns
  • Close business
  • Ensure that the client is well-served and pays promptly

Skills & Requirements

  • Communication - superior skills are essential to this position across the following groups (I) Clients: Assess needs, establish trust, educate, set expectations, and keep in touch with busy clients; (II) Projects & Technology: Need to be flexible and insistent as a client advocate with Project Manager, and stay up to date on all aspects of client projects as well as new product/feature development; (III) Management: Need to escalate appropriately and work well with entire team
  • Energetic, dynamic personality
  • Supportive with clients in need of 'consultative' sales process
  • Detail-oriented - experience managing complex projects needing regular monitoring
  • Top performer in prior sales/marketing/consulting positions
  • Understands computers, the Internet, and the benefits of e-Learning programs relative to the healthcare industry's needs for: Sales Training, and Medical Education

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required - MBA preferred
  • Proven to have experience with Senior Consultative Sales, Account Management, Business Development ability, ideally within a Communications, IT, or Advertising Agency

Compensation

$100K - $200K in annual commissions at plan. Expected first year compensation over $100K at plan.
